RFS Access & Orientation for COE RSO’s

To ensure safe and effective use of the Richmond Field Station (RFS) facilities, all College of Engineering Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) must complete the required access process. This includes orientation, safety trainings, and agreement to facility usage policies.

Required Trainings

Before accessing RFS spaces, all RSO participants must complete the designated safety trainings. These trainings cover key policies, equipment use, and emergency procedures to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.

RFS GWS

The RFS General Worksite Safety (GWS) training is mandatory for any student working at RFS. This training covers site-specific hazards, emergency protocols, and safe work practices unique to the RFS environment.

Usage Agreement

All RSOs must review and sign the RFS Usage Agreement, which outlines expectations for responsible use of space, equipment, and shared resources. Agreement to these terms is required before any project work may begin at RFS.

Motor Pool Form

RSOs needing access to RFS vehicles for transport of materials or project-related travel must submit a Motor Pool Reservation Form. Vehicle use is subject to approval, availability, and completion of required driver eligibility steps.
